Shine your light

Is your light shining? Does it burn bright, or is it feeling dim, barely burning, maybe just a flicker? Well, the good news is, it’s there for sure! We all have a light; it is our spirit, our truth, our authentic self! Sometimes it burns bright and sometimes, not so much:( However, we all have the power to reignite the light within. Read on and I will guide you with some quick and easy techniques to connect with yourself and your potential! (your light)

Your light shines brightest when you are living an authentic life, tapping into your truth and discovering, or rediscovering the unique gifts you have that bring joy to you and those around you.It can positively affect 1,000 people or the person next to you. These gifts are simply “things” you enjoy – “things” you are good at. “Your thing” can be writing, baking, teaching, listening, athletics. When you are doing “this thing” you serve yourself as well as the world and your light shines! I also like to call it “in you groove.”

It is necessary for our happiness and well-being to connect with our true self & when we do we are fearless, immune to criticism, we feel above or beneath no one! When looking at ourselves, we see only love.

So, my friends relax and enjoy these effortless ways to shine your light!!

  1. Write “I am ______________” and fill in whatever comes to mind. Example: I am Kathi, a mom, inspiring, a truth, fun, and so on. Finish your entry by writing “I AM LIGHT!”
  2. Next write “I can _______________” and fill in whatever comes to mind. Example: I can cook, organize, garden, execute, write, create and so on. Finish your entry by writing “I SHINE!” I also invite you to say it out loud. Come on say it 🙂

WARNING – The headstand is an advanced yoga pose and requires regular practice to build strength and confidence in attaining the pose. Do not do any variation of headstand unless you have a regular practice of headstand and yoga.

  1. You don’t need to expect anything from your meditation.
  2. Sit comfortably – relax, breathe and enjoy 🙂

* Remember….Practice makes Present!

Communing with nature is a perfect way to connect with yourself and everything around you 🙂 Being with nature helps us to recognize that we are a part it. By studying the nature around us, we are shown how we need to live and perform as our natural, beautiful authentic self. Just as the sun cannot carry out the job of the snow, you have a unique, necessary purpose in this universe. So bring it nature girl 🙂

  1. Leave your phone at home and step into nature.
  2. Step out! It can be the beach, a hike or your backyard. Be mindful as you breathe, notice the warmth and energy of the sun, the crispness of the fall air, or maybe the moisture of the morning. Notice the sounds of nature and the life going on around you. Birds, cars, wind, neighbors—listen to it all.
